Hello my name is Fatima Ezzahra Rahmo I am a multi-lingual (English, French, Arabic) social media and digital marketing professional with data analysis experience from well-known digital agencies in Morocco. During my previous experiences in social media and marketing, I managed accounts for a large number of well-known clients, focused on the user engagement and conversion to promoters of well-known brands. I also provided content creation and management, competitive intelligence and worked with web designers to create social media visuals, used measurement tools to provide reports on metrics and continually found ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives. Finally, I have experience creating strategic marketing/communications plans to provide direction for clients’ public-facing communications. I have a double BA in Economics and Management from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, and Hassan II University, Morocco. Marketing and Art brought me from Casablanca to Chicago !
I have been living in Chicago for 11 months now, I have done so many things that I totally forgot that i was working in the marketing field in my country, and I also forget that I am a blogger, so now I am going to get back to my lovely habit and start writing on what’s going on in the windy city, Chicago : a city of ideas and inspirations.
Chicago is a city of Art and beautiful buildings but also a city for startups, as every entrepreneur knows startup scene in Silicon Valley becomes more saturated and the cost of living skyrockets, cities like Chicago are beginning to look far more attractive to startups.
According to fortune Magazine, 2015 Was Chicago’s Best Year for Startup Funding Ever, has a strong business legacy going back to its role as a hub for cattle processing in the early 20th century. The new generation of innovation there includes Chicago-founded Groupon and GrubHub—neither exactly superstars, but respectable enough.
According to Inc Chicago, 45% of investments produced 10 times a return on investment. This was far higher than the runner-up, Raleigh, where 26 percent of startups produced the same return on investment. Chicago ranked in high numbers across the board, with 81% of its startups producing between three and 10 percent.
I love Marketing and new trends in Social Media this is why I am going to share some of the things I have seen here and it can help the Moroccan entrepreneurs to market their project, product service… startups, I’m also going to focus on some woman issues and startup scene here because there is so much to learn from here, where the GDP is way so much higher than the GDP in Morocco !
